University of Warsaw
Founded in 1816 the University of Warsaw (UNIWARSAW) is nowadays the largest and the finest higher education establishment in Poland. Five University graduates have won Nobel Prize awards. Currently, the total number of students exceeds 53,000. University of Warsaw employs about 3,500 teaching and research staff, who are employed in 20 faculties encompassing the natural sciences, social sciences and the humanities. Multidisciplinary research units at the UW include the Center of New Technologies, Center of Biological and Chemical Sciences, Center for Preclinical Research & DELab.
