Warsaw’s two airports: Chopin Airport more commonly referred to as Okęcie Airport (IATA code: WAW) and Modlin Airport (WMI), serve over 20 mln passengers per year. There are almost 50 airlines operating at Warsaw Chopin airport, with approximately 300 flights daily to international and domestic destinations.

The main Chopin airport is conveniently located about 15 min drive from the conference venue, and about 25 min drive from the city center. It may be reached from nearly all European capitals with direct connections to USA (Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Newark, New York), Canada (Toronto), Japan (Tokyo), China (Beijing), Korea (Seoul), Singapore, UAE (Dubai), and more (timetable). A taxi from Chopin airport to the city center currently costs approximately €15.

The smaller Modlin airport is located 40 km (25 miles) north of Warsaw's city center (about 1.0-1.5 hr drive) and is connected to the city by bus and train. A taxi from Modlin airport to the city center currently costs approximately €40.

By train

Warsaw has direct Intercity train connections to Berlin (6 hrs), Bratislava (8 hrs), Prague (9 hrs), Vienna (7 hrs), Budapest (14 hrs), and Kiev (17 hrs). The most important stations are Warsaw Central (Warszawa Centralna), Warsaw West (Warszawa Zachodnia), and Warsaw East (Warszawa Wschodnia). Among them, Warsaw West is the closest to the conference venue (10 min by bus, 30 min walk).

Warsaw may be reached by car from Berlin (via A2 highway), Dresden (A4+A1), Prague (A1), or Lviv (A2+A1). Please mind the speed limits.
